I’m a big believer that how a boss treats his guys is an indicator of the type of business they conduct. His crew (which were great) started the project and mid way through he showed up. I was inside the house and looked up to see him shovel in hand getting the work done too.
I appreciated seeing the boss working and not just pointing fingers and having his employees doing everything, while he shows up at the end to collect the check. Don’t know if that was just this isolated case or if it was slow that day, but it was cool to see.

Born and raised in Southern California. Rick originally studied Computer Networking and Business Management and earned degrees in both. But as a “people person” with a love for landscape design, he decided to leave his management job in the software industry to work in a career he truly has a passion for. He is married with two young boys and Labrador dogs. When they aren’t hanging out near the beach, they enjoy trips to the desert to doing outdoor activities.
By utilizing synthetic grass and ivy as well as natural California drought-tolerant plants he is able to focus on designs suitable for our regional water shortages. The friendly and helpful team leaders on his crews all have 10-plus years of experience and have completed hundreds of jobs installing artificial grass and drought resistant landscaping from San Diego to Orange County, Los Angeles, Corona, Riverside, Temecula and San Bernardino.
